Los Alamitos Announces Basketball Program For Area Youth
Is your child age Kindergarten through 5th grade? If so, it's time to get them shooting hoops at the City of Los Alamitos Recreation center.
LOS ALAMITOS, CA—It's that time of year again, basketball lovers. The Los Alamitos Youth Basketball League is around the corner! Register your child, aged K-5 grade, either online or in-person at the Los Alamitos Community Center (10911 Oak Street).
Practices will take place at local school sites during the week and games will take place on Saturdays at the Oak Middle School Gym (10821 Oak Street).
Practices sites and times are available on the City of Los Alamitos website and start the week of September 13, practices will begin, and games start Saturday, September 25.

All teams are coached by members of the Los Alamitos Recreation Staff and sites with multiple teams will be split based on skill level.
"Coaches will emphasize learning the basketball fundamentals, teamwork, and giving 100 percent effort," a spokesperson said.

Parents, please note: there will be no roster or carpool requests granted this season.
