Motorcycle Collides With Truck in Westminster. Rider Down.

WESTMINSTER, CA—The Golden State (5) Freeway northbound high-occupancy lanes were temporarily shut down Thursday when a motorcyclist collided with a vehicle at Beach Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reports.

“At 2:45 p.m., a white work truck and motorcycle collided," Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Paul Holaday tells Patch.

The motorcyclist was thrown and landed in the center divider, CHP reports.

An ambulance arrived at the scene and OCFA medics took the rider to an area hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

A CHP spokesman said it was not a fatality. He did not disclose any additional information.
