North OC Freeway Crashes, Flooding Stalls Morning Commute
Drivers of the 22 Freeway, I-5, 405 & Orange County toll roads saw much slowing Tuesday due to inclement weather and flooded roadways.

SEAL BEACH, CA — Commuters, both north and southbound on the 5 Freeway and along the 22 Garden Grove Freeway were delayed Tuesday morning due to multiple SIGAlerts and collisions, California Highway Patrol reported.
California Highway Patrol reported multiple roadway hazards across the county, with several in North Orange County on the Garden Grove Freeway.

A driver on State Route 22 at Beach Boulevard collided with another vehicle at 8 a.m. and blocked traffic for about an hour.
An injury crash was reported just after 9 a.m. at the 22 westbound at Euclid Street, where a black Tesla collided with a red Honda. Ambulances have been called to the scene, CHP said.

A collision in the area of the 5 and 405 merge was stopped due to a semi-vs-semi truck collision that occurred just after 6 a.m.
Approximately 200 gallons of fuel spilled at the scene of the Bake Parkway onramp, and a perimeter fence was damaged, resulting in debris in lanes, according to California Highway Patrol. As of 9 a.m., residual northbound traffic from that collision slowed San Juan Capistrano.
Another SIGAlert was instituted at 8 a.m. on the Northbound 5 at Lake Forest Drive when a multi-car crash in the #5 lane stalled traffic for about an hour.
California Highway Patrol reported multiple roadway hazards across the county.
Drivers are reminded to avoid flooded parts of the freeway and side streets, to go slow and give themselves ample time to get to where they are going.
Rain showers are expected through the day Tuesday.
