Run Seal Beach 5K/10K Road Closures Announced For This Weekend

The race will go through the Old Town neighborhood and the surrounding areas, Seal Beach police said.

SEAL BEACH, CA — Thousands of people will head to Seal Beach this Saturday to participate in the 48th annual Run Seal Beach 5K/10K, and authorities have announced a series of street closures for the day.

The first of the street closures will begin at 4 a.m. and end by 10 a.m., the Seal Beach Police Department said. The race will snake through the Old Town neighborhood and the surrounding areas.

Parking will not be allowed on streets impacted by the closures, and vehicles along the racecourse cannot move between 7:30 and 10 a.m., police said.

Saturday's street closures are:

  • Marina Bridge — 4 to 9:30 a.m.
  • 1st Street from Welcome Lane to Marina Drive — 4 to 8:15 a.m.
  • 1st Street from Marina Drive to Ocean Avenue — 7 to 9:30 a.m.
  • Ocean Avenue from 1st Street to 7th Street — 7:15 to 10 a.m.
  • Ocean Avenue from 7th Street to Electric and Landing avenues — 7 to 10 a.m.
  • Seal Beach Boulevard from Electric Avenue to Pacific Coast Highway — 7:15 to 9 a.m.
  • Seal Beach Boulevard from Pacific Coast Highway to Westminster Avenue 7:15 a.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Westminster Avenue from Road B to San Gabriel River Trail input from 8:05 to 8:30 a.m.
