Seal Beach Man Accused Of Rape; Police Seek Other Victims
Police said Darryl Lee Matanane, 55, raped a woman after serving her an alcoholic drink.
SEAL BEACH, CA -- A Seal Beach resident was arrested Sunday for allegedly raping a woman. A victim told police she went to a local restaurant where the suspect, Darryl Lee Matanane, 55, served her an alcoholic drink. She later awoke in an unfamiliar apartment and was sexually assaulted, police said.
The victim does not remember how she got to the apartment.
During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Matanane as the suspect in this incident and was charged with rape.
