Seal Beach Man Arrested After Fight, Stand Off With Police
A 44-year-old man was arrested after a tussle with police in Seal Beach on Tuesday, authorities said.
SEAL BEACH, CA — Seal Beach police arrested a man on suspicion of assaulting multiple police officers during a standoff at a car repair shop on Tuesday.
Police responded to a report of a man "banging on cars and climbing trees" at about 8:50 a.m. in the 300 block of Seventh Street. When officers arrived, they saw the suspect kick a car and attempted to detain him.
During his arrest, the suspect physically fought against police and additional officers were called for assistance, SBPD said. When backup arrived, the suspect allegedly assaulted two officers and ran away, police said.

The suspect, who was identified as 44-year-old Jordan Molina of Seal Beach, barricaded himself inside a utility room at a nearby car repair shop. Police arrested Molina on suspicion of resisting arrest about an hour later without incident, according to SBPD.
Officers sustained minor injuries during the incident and were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated.
