Seal Beach Plans To Hire Lifeguards, Recreation Specialists For Summer
Seal Beach officials seek to hire part-time employees to help during the summer months.
SEAL BEACH, CA — Seal Beach is looking to add a few part-time employees to its ranks ahead of the summer months.
The city is hiring part-time recreation specialists and pool lifeguards to help out as needed, Seal Beach officials said. Each position has varied work hours and no benefits.
Recreation specialists can work up to 29 hours per week and will be based primarily at the Seal Beach Tennis and Pickleball Center. The part-time employees will occasionally help with facility rentals and adult sports programs, Seal Beach officials said.

Lifeguards will perform, observe and ensure "the safety of participants in recreational and organized swimming activities," Seal Beach officials said. They will also be responsible for enforcing pool rules and assisting with class preparations, taking inventory and cleaning pool equipment as needed.
