Seal Beach Police To Host 'Cops And Bobbers' Children Fishing Derby
The Seal Beach Police Department's inaugural fishing tournament will be open to children under the age of 17.
SEAL BEACH, CA — Children under the age of 17 are invited to the Seal Beach Pier on June 11 for the inaugural Cops and Bobbers Fishing Derby.
Hosted by the Seal Beach Police League, Seal Beach Police Department and Big Fish Bait and Tackle, the free event will be from 7 to 9 a.m.
Prizes will be awarded to the child who catches the biggest fish, and additional awards will be given to the following age groups:

- Children under 8
- Children 8 to 13 years old
- Children 14 to 17 years old
Participants in the derby must bring a fishing pole and tackle box, the Seal Beach Police Department said.
Parents interested in having their child participate can email the Seal Beach Police League.
