SoCal Pizzeria Among World's Best In International Ranking

LOS ANGELES, CA — One Southern California pizzeria was named one of the top 50 pizza places in the world in a new international ranking from 50TopPizza, which recently published its "Guide to the Best Pizzerias in the world."

Pizzeria Sei in LA was number 33 on the list. Located at 8781 W Pico Blvd., Pizzeria Sei draws inspiration from the Tokyo neo-Neapolitan school of pizza.

Opened in 2022, Pizzeria Sei has one of the U.S.'s only pizza tasting menus, offering guests a chef-picked rotating menu worth $150. The restaurant is owned and operated by chef William Joo and his wife Jennifer So.

"The atmosphere is quiet and serene, while the pizza makers work the dough, giving the crust of the pizza a quality of rubberiness and rupee custard," the European-based website reads. "The evolution of the restaurant is visible in the dough profile: chef William Joo has constantly changed the types of flour and hydration levels to obtain the perfect result."

Alongside the masterfully crafted pizzas, Pizzeria Sei also offers salads, cured meats and burrata on toasted bread. The restaurant's new omakase menu offers guests 8-10 courses featuring a variety of dough styles and flavors, only available one night a week.
