WESTMINSTER, CA — Authorities Thursday recovered a stolen Bengal Lynx cat in Santa Ana.

The pet, named "Clubber," was found after police asked for the public's help in tracking down the feline after an abduction on Wednesday.

Clubber was found unharmed at a home in Santa Ana after receiving a tip. While the cat was reunited with its owner, the suspect remained at large, Westminster police said.

The cat was reported stolen March 19, according to police. Clubber's owner said she found her pet missing Friday morning when she discovered the cat's AirTag, attached to its collar, near her driveway in the 10000 block of Finchley Avenue.

When the owner reviewed home surveillance video, she saw the suspect lure Clubber — possibly with food — and snatch the cat before fleeing in a white pickup truck, possibly a Toyota Tacoma.

The suspect was described as a man about 40 to 50 years old and about 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a long-sleeved orange shirt, black jeans and a white hat.

Anyone with information was asked to call police at 714-898-3315. Orange County Crime Stoppers will accept anonymous tips at 855-TIP-OCCS.
