Surfside Beach Open Again Following Shark Sighting
A shark sighting prompted authorities to close the beach Saturday as crowds flocked to the shore to escape the heatwave.
SEAL BEACH (CNS) - Surfside Beach re-opened Sunday, following the closure of the area due to a shark sighting, authorities said.
The Seal Beach Police Department reported on its Facebook page Saturday that the beach was closed due to a shark sighting and that "marine safety is on scene and investigating."
No injuries were reported.
