'Surviving Gun Violence' Presentation Open To Community In Seal Beach
The community is invited to learn survival and safety tips at SBPD's "Surviving Gun Violence" presentation.
SEAL BEACH, CA — Members of the public are invited to a free presentation about surviving gun violence from the Seal Beach Police Department next week.
On Feb. 25, the police department will host the presentation to share strategies to prevent and prepare for a potentially violent incident. Attendees will also learn how to safely interact with responding officers, how to enhance survival when confronted, and how to keep firearms safely secured at home.
The presentation will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the McGaugh Elementary School auditorium at 1698 Bolsa Avenue.

"Although this presentation will be held at McGaugh, the topics covered are not specific to school violence or an active shooter at a school," police said in a statement.
Due to the themes of violence and the graphic nature of portions of the presentation, police discouraged anyone under 18-years-old from attending.
