Crash Takes Out Power Pole, Closes Los Gatos Intersection

The area at Pennsylvania and Bayview avenues is temporarily closed off while PG&E works on its power pole struck during a crash.

LOS GATOS, CA -- A single-vehicle crash involving a power pole at Pennsylvania and Bayview avenues at midday has closed the intersection and knocked out power to eight customers, according to Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police and Pacific Gas & Electric.

The two passengers in the vehicle had minor injuries and were transported to the hospital, Los Gatos police added.

Due to the potential hazard of the PG&E pole and lines, the area has been temporarily shut down to pedestrian and vehicle traffic while PG&E conducts additional work. The utility company estimated power would be restored by 9 p.m.
