Los Altos History Museum Accepting Applications For Teen Docent Program

LOS ALTOS, CA (March 1, 2022) – Los Altos History Museum is seeking applicants for its 2022-23 Teen Docent Program. Open to any student enrolled in a local high school for the 2022-23
year, the program offers teens the opportunity to work alongside museum professionals and interact with community members while experiencing a behind-the-scenes look at museum magic in action. The Museum will accept up to 20 students, and applications must be completed through its website by March 21, 2022.

“The program will give teens a real insight into the community as well as the importance of museums,” said Museum Educator Georgianna Shea. “Participants will gain valuable employment experience, and skills such as communication and leadership that can be applied to any education or work environment. Teen Docents will meet and collaborate with a diverse cross-section of students and have fun while learning about local history.”
