LOS ALTOS, CA (Oct 26, 2021) – As County restrictions lift and hopes for happy holidays return, Los Altos History Museum brings back a much-loved live community event, with some sensible precautions. Titled “Catch the Spirit,” the program will still include gift shopping, home-baked goodies, and live music, with masks required indoors, and the music pivoting to outdoors. The program is slated for Wed, Nov 17, noon-4pm.

Vicki Holman, the Museum’s Store manager, has been stocking up for shoppers. Two boutiques, one in the historic J. Gilbert Smith House and one in the Museum, will offer a range of gift items, including books, household items, children’s toys, puzzles, unique Christmas ornaments and decorations, and more. “Shelves may be empty in some of the big stores, but ours are full,” she said. Docents will monitor the number of shoppers allowed inside at one time.

Caroling by members of choral group Schola Cantorum Silicon Valley will be held in the courtyard at 1:30pm. For the safety of our visitors and the choir, the singers will wear masks.
