Peninsula Man Caught Leaving Stabbing Scene, Charged With Attempted Murder
Mountain View police have charged a Palo Alto man with attempted murder after a bloody stabbing that left a person hospitalized.

SAN FRANCISCO PENINSULA -- A Palo Alto man was arrested in Mountain View on Monday night in connection with a stabbing that sent one person to the hospital, police said.
Paul Goldman, 55, was found allegedly attempting to leave the area after police found the victim with several stab wounds in the 1100 block of Phyllis Avenue off of El Camino Real, Mountain View police said.
The incident was reported shortly before 10 p.m. Police said Goldman and the victim knew each other prior to the stabbing.

Phyllis Avenue was closed for several hours as officers investigated but it reopened early this morning, police said.
Police did not release the victim's condition as of Tuesday morning.

Goldman was booked into Santa Clara County Jail this morning on suspicion of attempted murder. He is being held without bail.
