Police Calls: Battery, Maybe a Burglary, Definitely a Theft
The Los Altos Police log on Sept. 12 included a victim who perhaps wasn't, plus some ID theft with credit cards, and suspicious circumstances calls.

Suspicious Circumstances / Package
- 7:00 a.m., 4598 El Camino Real; suspicious circumstance, officer responded, report taken
- 10:06 a.m., 199 Main Street; suspicious package, locked box left at front door; turned out that it was installed by the company, but the manager was not informed
- 9:41 p.m., 2300 block of Deodara Drive; report of suspicious noises heard, police responded, unable to locate.

- 9:22 a.m., N. San Antonio Road & Loucks Avenue; non-injury accident, drivers exchanged names
- 5:27 p.m., 911, Foothill Expressway and St. Joseph Avenue; minor injury accident, subject refused medical attention; officer assisted with names exchange
Battery
- 9:31 a.m., 911, 4546 El Camino Real, Village Court Shopping Center; assault report taken

Gas-Leaf Blower
- 11:26 a.m., 2000 block of Crist Drive; gas leaf blower report, quiet on arrival
Identity Theft
- 12:33 p.m., walk-in, 400 block of University Avenue; credit card accounts opened in the reporting party’ names,
- 12:46 p.m., walk in; 160 First Street; credit card stolen and used without permission, referred to Sunnyvale Police.
Theft
- 2:19 p.m., 770 Berry Avenue, Loyola School; wallet taken from classroom, report taken
Driving Without a License
- 10:58 a.m., San Antonio Road and Fayette Drive; driving without a license, driving without a license, non-moving citation
Noise
- 9:41 p.m., 400 block of Rosita Avenue; barking dog complaint, police responded, quiet on departure
