Sentences For Los Altos Burglars Announced
Two of the three San Francisco burglars who broke into a Los Altos home in July 2015 have been sentenced to prison.

LOS ALTOS - Two of the three San Francisco burglars who broke into a Los Altos home in July 2015 have been sentenced to prison, and the third, a woman, awaits the terms of her punishment.
A post online by Los Altos Police indicates 35-year-old Delancey Huff received a sentence of 15 years for his role in the burglary, and 19-year-old Robert Mandigo received a sentence of 11 years.
According to police, the female suspect, 20-year-old Khalida Peterson pleaded guilty and is awaiting her sentencing.

Police say they were called to the scene of a residential burglary in the 1400 block of Richardson Avenue shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13.

According to Los Altos Police, the victims left their Richardson Avenue residence for approximately two hours, and returned to find it ransacked. Jewelry and firearms were discovered missing from the residence.
Police say as they searched for witnesses, video surveillance footage that showed a suspect exit a vehicle and approach the victim’s residence was discovered. With the video, Los Altos investigators were able to identify the three San Francisco suspects.
Acting on an alert, San Francisco Police officers were able to locate and take into custody each of the three suspects for Los Altos Police, according to investigators.
San Francisco officers recovered jewelry and a firearm taken in the Los Altos burglary as they made the arrests, police say, and Los Altos Detectives recovered other stolen items at a San Francisco pawn shop.
Los Altos Police say when arrrested, Delancey Huff was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon. They say Robert Mandigo was on felony probation for possession of an assault weapon, and Khalida Peterson was on felony probation for possession of a controlled substance for sales.
All three suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
Charges included residential burglary; grand theft; grand theft of a firearm; felon in possession of a firearm; and active participation in a criminal street gang.
