South Bay Driver Dead After Crashing Into CHP Vehicle on Hwy 280
A man who died after crashing into a CHP vehicle on President's Day has been identified as Jeremiah Kiley, 41, of Santa Clara.

SOUTH BAY, CA -- A man who died after crashing into a California Highway Patrol vehicle on President's Day has been identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as 41-year-old Santa Clara resident Jeremiah Kiley.
Around 6:50 p.m. on Monday, Kiley hit the CHP vehicle while the officer assigned to it was assisting a disabled vehicle on southbound Interstate Highway 280 just north of El Monte Road in Los Altos Hills.
The officer only suffered minor injuries, but Kiley was trapped inside his own vehicle and emergency crews had to extricate him, CHP officers said.

He was taken to Stanford Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
