Investigators allege one man was responsible for the fatal shooting of a man in a car, and the other is accused of aiding in the crime.

SAN JOSE, CA — Detectives in San Jose have made two arrests in one of the cold cases they asked for public help solving earlier this month.

In a news release Friday, the police department said two men were in custody related to the 2020 shooting death of a man on Orlando Drive. The victim was shot multiple times while sitting in his vehicle on Nov. 20, 2020, and he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Police said an unidentified suspect fled the scene in an unidentified gold Lexus, which was captured on camera.

Homicide detectives recently developed suspects in the case, identified Friday as Hulizes Garcia-Urista, 27, and Jairo Oortiz-Plancarte, 29, both of San Jose.
