SAN JOSE, CA — San Jose detectives last week arrested a suspect in an armed burglary case from April, recovering several firearms and more than a thousand rounds of ammunition, according to police.

Investigators said an armed man fled the scene of the crime on April 2 after he was confronted by a neighbor. Over the following months, burglary detectives were able to identify a suspect in the case and obtain warrants for his arrest and a search of his home.

Officers with the Covert Response Unit were able to locate and arrest the man on Oct. 25 in San Jose. While executing a search warrant at his residence, police said detectives found several unregistered guns and a large ammo cache. Investigators seized two assault rifles, including one equipped with a suppressor, two pistols, and a dozen antique rifles and pistols, police said.
