Commercial Cannabis Could Be Coming To Los Gatos: Council Agenda

The council is expected to discuss the potential for commercial cannabis and marijuana dispensaires in Los Gatos next Tuesday.

LOS GATOS, CA — Next week’s council meeting in the town of Los Gatos will feature discussions on both cannabis and parklets.

The council is expected to discuss the potential for commercial cannabis in Los Gatos. In August, the town pushed out a survey to residents on whether to allow marijuana dispensaries.

While marijuana is legal across California, cannabis for retail, manufacturing or cultivation is not allowed in Los Gatos as each municipality can enact its own regulations on cannabis.

Several Bay Area cities, including San Jose, Mountain View, Foster City and San Carlos have allowed for commercial cannabis operations.

The council was also set to discuss the downtown semi-permanent parklet program, including the extension of the K-rail parklets beyond Jan. 31, programming for public parklet areas and placemaking options for Grays Lane.
