Coronavirus: Santa Clara County's Death Toll Rises To 42
The Public Health Department also reported 17 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the countywide total to 1,224
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Santa Clara County’s death toll from the new coronavirus rose to 42 with the reporting of three new COVID-19-related deaths on the Public Health Department’s dashboard Monday.
The county also reported that there were 17 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the countywide total to 1,224.
The number of new confirmed coronavirus cases in the county is the lowest since March 28, when the same number of confirmed cases was reported, The San Jose Mercury News reports.

The county currently has 286 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 91 are in intensive care unit beds.
