SAN JOSE, CA — A raid on a San Jose home Wednesday netted several pounds of explosives and manufacturing materials, according to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. The DA's Gun Violence Task Force led the early morning raid at a home on Bailey Avenue with help from sheriff's deputies.

According to prosecutors, Christopher Paul Roberts, 37, faces multiple felony charges related to explosives and illegal firearms. Investigators said a search warrant uncovered explosive materials and mixing components, completed explosives, heroin, ammunition and four firearms, including a "ghost gun assault rifle."

"Our neighborhoods will not be treated as weapon manufacturing factories or war zones," District Attorney Jeff Rosen said. "I thank the brave investigators, ATF agents, and deputies who put their lives on the line to make sure these dangerous and illegal weapons don't make their way into the hands of criminals."
