Los Gatos Hires New Human Resources Director

Salina Flores, currently the acting human resources manager at the city of Campbell, will begin on Feb. 28.

LOS GATOS, CA — Los Gatos hired a new human resources director who will start at the end of month, the town announced in a news release Thursday.

Salina Flores, currently the acting human resources manager at the city of Campbell, will take over on Feb. 28 for the retiring Lisa Velasco, the current human resources director.

Flores, who has 20 years of experience in human resources, was selected after a statewide search overseen by Town Manager Laurel Prevetti

“We are excited to have Salina join the Town,” Prevetti said. “She brings strong human resources experience, understands the challenges of small agencies, and brings new ideas and perspectives.”

Prevetti said Flores’ responsibilities will include attracting, developing and retaining a high quality workforce in Los Gatos.

The town had help from the recruiting firm Teri Black & Associates.

“I am honored and excited about this wonderful opportunity, and I am looking forward to working with a team of dedicated professionals,” Flores said.
