Los Gatos Offers Opportunity To Operate Its Historic Theater
The recently took over stewardship of the historic Los Gatos Theatre after it was donated back to the town by its previous owners.

LOS GATOS, CA — Los Gatos is looking for someone to operate and manage the Los Gatos Theatre on behalf of the town.
The recently took over stewardship of the historic Los Gatos Theatre after the Goetz family, the theater's owners, donated it to the town last November.

The family purchased the building in 2011. The theater is over 100 years old, and has survived destruction from multiple fires and the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Following renovations, the theater reopened in 2014.
The individuals or company that would operate the theater would be responsible for preserving the historic building, enriching the community through events and programs and handling all day-to-day functions and operations.

Proposals should be submitted the town by March 4 and include a cover letter, program approach and financial proposal. The selection panel would be comprised of town staff.
The town is expected to select an operator in April.
