LOS GATOS, CA — The town of Los Gatos is hoping to avert summer visitors from clogging up traffic on local roads.

The town released a statement this week warning of “summer beach traffic” of people heading to Santa Cruz.

“Since Highway 17 has limited capacity, many motorists attempt to save time by using alternate routes through Town and the mapping apps have not helped,” town officials said.
