Los Gatos Weekender: Country Fair, Witchy Celebration, Garage Sales, Glass Pumpkins

Don't miss the annual Magical Glass Pumpkin Patch at Los Gatos High School Oct. 4-6.

St. Mary's Catholic Church presents its annual free Country Fair Oct. 4-6 at the parish, 219 Bean Ave. The event features fun family activities such as arts and crafts, new kid zone, pie eating contest, spaghetti dinner, pancake breakfast, car raffle, games, bounce inflatables, live music Friday night by Bent Peter Band, Greek, Italian BBQ, and more. A WITCHY CELEBRATION AT THE BUTTER PADDLE

The Butter Paddle, the fundraising arm of the EMQ Auxiliary, which has served the needs of local children in crisis since 1934, hosts a sale featuring fall and Halloween decor items and jewelry at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at 33 No. Santa Cruz Ave. All proceeds are donated to EMQ FamiliesFirst. LOS GATOS/MONTE SERENO COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE

The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Community Garage Sale takes place Saturday, Oct. 5. Registration is now closed, but you can get the sales' locations by clicking here. Print copies of the Shopper's Guide will be available beginning Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Town Hall, 110 E. Main St.; Los Gatos Public Library, 100 Villa Ave.; Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation Center, 208 E. MONTE SERENO 'MEET AND GREET' COMMUNITY BBQ

The City of Monte Sereno invites the community to its free "Meet and Greet" barbecue at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Vasona Park in Los Gatos in the circle picnic area. The event will include a nature walk at 10 a.m. followed by Youth Science Institute family activities and the barbecue lunch from noon until 1:30 p.m. To reserve your party's lunch, RSVP by calling 408-354-7635, or email cityhall@cityofmontesereno.org.

MAGICAL GLASS PUMPKIN PATCH

The Magical Glass Pumpkin Patch, a Los Gatos tradition that attracts thousands from the Bay Area each year, is set for Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6 at Los Gatos High School. Held annually for the past decade in October, the event benefits the high school and local artists. Hand-blown glass pumpkins from over a dozen local glass artists will be for sale. To date, more than $135,000 has been raised for the school, according to organizers. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Details are on the web site here.
