Men Killed in Suspected Alum Rock DUI Crash Are Identified
Two 18-year-olds were killed in a head on crash with a large SUV. Four teenagers were in the car, including girls 14 and 15.

Two men killed in a suspected drunk driving collision just outside of San Jose late Thursday night were identified today as 18-year-old San Jose residents Jorge Cuellar Guevara and Manuel Guevara Cartagena, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
Around 10:40 p.m., both men were in a 2001 Toyota Camry also carrying two teenage girls, ages 14 and 15, headed west on Alum Rock Avenue east of Kirk Avenue, according to the CHP. The vehicle drifted into an eastbound lane and collided head-on into a 2000 Toyota Tundra heading the opposite way, CHP officials said.
The 18-year-old men, one who was driving the Camry, were pronounced dead at the scene, CHP officials said. The girls, both from San Jose, fled the scene and later showed up at a hospital to be treated for their injuries, according to the CHP. The 14-year-old suffered a broken pelvis and the 15-year-old had a small cut to her hand, CHP officials said.

A 57-year-old San Jose man who drove the Toyota Tundra suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment, according to the CHP.
