New Photos Released In 2021 South Bay Homicide Investigation

MORGAN HILL, CA — Authorities on Wednesday released new photos in connection with a 2021 South Bay homicide, Morgan Hill police said.
Humberto Cossio, 33, of Morgan Hill, was fatally shot July 20, 2021, as he was walked south through the intersection of Monterey Road and Spring Avenue.
The newly released photos show a male riding what appears to be a folding e-bike, and a white Nissan Sentra sought in connection with Cossio’s killing, police said.

Police last month released a photo of the white Nissan Sentra was last seen driving west on Spring Avenue, the Morgan Hill Police Department said.
“Since its release, the Morgan Hill Police Department has received dozens of tips and anonymous information related to this case,” the agency said on its Facebook page.

“In addition, we have received an updated photograph of the white Nissan as well as a photograph of a male subject who we are currently seeking to identify.”
Investigators believe Cossio may have engaged in a verbal confrontation on Ciolino Avenue just before the shooting, but no suspects have been identified.
