Obstacles Plaguing So Bay Drives On Hwy 101, I280, SR237, SR17

After clearing SR-35, CHP has responded to many problems throughout the morning on South Bay roads.

LOS GATOS, CA -- A severe traffic alert was issued on a report of a concrete barrier blocking both sides of State Route 35 between Alpine Road and the State Route 9 turnoff northwest of Los Gatos, the California Highway Patrol announced. CHP dispatch reported the obstacle has cleared by midday.

Also since cleared, the CHP reported earlier a bicycle down on State Route 17 on the southbound ramp of State Route 85 in Los Gatos as of 10:45 a.m. (with no further information); along with a disabled vehicle on northbound U.S. Highway 101 blocking a lane north of Masten Avenue near Gilroy.

North to Milpitas on n eastbound State Route 237 at the McCarthy Boulevard exit, the right lane is blocked from another obstacle.

Yet another was also reported on southbound U.S. Highway 101 at Shoreline Boulevard in Mountain View, but that one has since cleared.

In addition, motorists experienced residual delays on northbound State Route 87 north of Airport Parkway in San Jose due to a crash that has since cleared.
