'Party Mom' Indicted On Multiple Charges In Santa Clara County: Report
A grand jury this week indicted the infamous Los Gatos "party mom," bringing the case closer to a potential trial after two years.
LOS GATOS, CA — A grand jury in Santa Clara County has indicted Los Gatos "party mom" Shannon O'Connor on dozens of felons and misdemeanor allegations, setting up for a potential trial two years in the making, according to The Mercury News.
The 49-year-old mother, first arrested in Oct. 2021, is accused of hosting booze-filled events for underage attendees and facilitating sexual acts. Santa Clara County prosecutors allege O'Connor invited her teen son's underage friends to parties at her home, plying them with high amounts of alcohol and encouraging sex acts, even pressuring girls who were hesitant to participate. In some cases, the court filings allege she encouraged boys to violate consent.
In the years since her arrest, the case prompted the Los Gatos Town Council to pass a new ordinance, instituting fines up to $3,000 for adults found to be hosting events where alcohol or drugs were available to minors.
