Road Closures At Highway 9 In Monte Sereno Begin For CalTrans Work

LOS GATOS, CA — Daytime closures at the intersection of Highway 9 and Austin Way in Monte Sereno begin Wednesday and will run through August for CalTrans work.

The closures will be in both directions on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CalTrans is constructing the Bike Safety Improvement Project, and upgrading the existing pedestrian crossing and bicycling facilities at Highway 9.

The project also upgrades the flashing beacons, adds “Shark Teeth” yield lines to the eastbound and westbound approaches, constructs a landscaped median island on Highway 9 west of the intersection, installs bike lanes on Highway 9 and adds street lights.
