San Jose Fire Dept. Rescues At Least 20 Homeless People From Flooded Golf Course
At least 20 people who were trapped on a flooded golf course right next to a creek have been rescued by the San Jose Fire Department.

BAY AREA, CA -- At least 20 people who were trapped on a flooded golf course right next to a creek were rescued by the San Jose Fire Department the morning of Feb. 21.
Nearly two dozen homeless were stranded on a patch of the Los Lagos Golf Course in San Jose, right next to Coyote Creek, including two people in a tent, when rains flooded the creek and sent water rushing onto the course.

NBC Bay Area reported that people and their belongings were rescued by SJFD crews in a raft.

"Everything was surrounded. It rose so fast," the station quoted one of those rescued as saying.
