South Bay Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
The victim, a 32-year-old Gilroy man, was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds but has since recovered from his injuries, police said.
GILROY, CA — A South Bay man was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of attempted murder, Gilroy police said.
Demetrius Santos, 19 of Gilroy, was arrested in connection with the March 3 shooting in the area of Las Animas Avenue and Electra Court, police said.
Santos was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked in the Santa Clara County Jail, police said.

The GPD’s Anti-Crime Team investigated the shooting after it was determined to be gang-related, police said.
