Tesla Car Fire Reignites After Extinguished On University Ave.
The Model S car erupted into flames for a second time after it was extinguished at an auto shop to fix a flat tire.

LOS GATOS, CA -- A Tesla Model S vehicle seems to have a burning desire to keep Santa Clara County Fire crews busy.
The car was towed to the parking lot of an auto shop on the 500 block of University Avenue at 2:07 p.m. Tuesday when the driver got a flat tire on state Highway 17, Fire Capt. Bill Murphy indicated.
Firefighters arrived and quickly put out the blaze before it reached the auto shop.

No one was hurt. Firefighters remained on the scene to monitor the cooling of the car's
batteries. When it arrived at a tow yard, it reignited about 10 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Crews stayed with the car as of
7 a.m. Wednesday.
