SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to California Businesses, Private Nonprofits and Residents Affected by the Pack Fire (sba.gov) — Madera County residents and business owners can now apply for low-interest SBA disaster loans after the Pack Fire, which affected several California counties. Assistance is available for damaged homes, personal property, and businesses, plus economic injury loans for lost revenue. Applications are open through early 2026, with help available online, by phone, or at an outreach center in Mono County.
   

5. Yosemite Sugar Pine Railroad unveils Holiday Magic Train (yourcentralvalley.com) — A beloved Madera County attraction, the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad, is running a new Holiday Magic Train through January 4, offering nighttime rides with lights, music, and hot cocoa.
