Earthquake Hits Malibu, Parts Of Los Angeles
A 2.9 magnitude earthquake hit near Malibu Monday morning. Did you feel it?

MALIBU, CA — A 2.9 magnitude earthquake on Monday hit just off the Malibu coast at 9:02 a.m., according to the United States Geological Service.
The earthquake was felt throughout Malibu, parts of Los Angeles and Simi Valley and some of Oxnard, according to initial USGS 'did you feel it?' survey responses. The earthquake did not cause any damage, according to the USGS.

- 14.3 km (8.9 mi) NNW of Malibu
- 16.8 km (10.4 mi) NNE of Malibu Beach
- 19.3 km (12 mi) NNE of Las Flores
- 25.7 km (16 mi) NNE of Topanga
- 35.5 km (22.1 mi) NNW of Thousand Oaks
Malibu often has small earthquakes, seismologist Lucy Jones said on Twitter.
