5 Fun Events In Malibu This Weekend

MALIBU, CA — A beautiful fall weekend is on tap, and there's plenty to do around Malibu to stay busy.

Here are our five picks for fun this weekend (Nov. 22, 23 and 24) in Malibu:

Raising Money For Firefighters After Woolsey Fire: Friday, November 22

"We need your help! On November 22, a group of CrossFitters, OCR racers, endurance athletes and my insane husband- comedian, Eddie Ifft, will be tackling the Backbone Trail in Southern California, all 68 miles of single-track over 14,000 feet of elevation in hopefully under 24 hours. These guys are crazy but it’s for a good cause- hoping to raise $68,000 (1k for every mile hiked) for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation after the tragedy of the Woolsey fire rocked our amazing Malibu community and the beautiful wildlife of Santa Monica. Please help us by making a small donation or sharing this post. I never realized what true heroes we have in our firefighters until I moved to Southern California."

Cello Performance by Zlatomir Fung: Sunday, November 24

"Performing with a “a rich, warm tone, impeccable intonation, and [an] appreciation for dynamic shading” (Baltimore Sun), cellist Zlatomir Fung is the first prize winner of the 2018 Schoenfeld International String Competition, the 2017 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, and the 2016 George Enescu International Cello Competition. He has also performed as a soloist with the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, the Santa Cruz Symphony, the Boston Pops, the Lausanne Sinfonietta, the Grand Rapids Symphony, and the New England Philharmonic, among others."
