MALIBU, CA — Some 400-600 motorcyclists will ride down Pacific Coast Highway Sunday toward the annual flag display at Pepperdine University to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11.

The motorcyclists will ride from the Naval Base Ventura County - Point Mugu to Bluffs Park from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The group will then stay at the park until around 2 p.m.

The annual display at Pepperdine University's Bluffs Park, "Waves of Flags," includes 2,977 flags on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Malibu Canyon Road commemorating the 2,977 people who died during the 9/11 attacks. The flags have gone up every year since 2008 a few days before Sept. 11. This year, the flags will stay up at Alumni Park until Sept. 23.
