Panga Boat Found near Point Mugu
The Department of Homeland Security has taken over the investigation.
An abandoned smuggler's panga boat was disocvered on a beach in Point Mugu State Park Tuesday west of Malibu.
The boat was found about 7 a.m. Tuesday near some campsites at Thornhill Broome Beach, according to Craig Sap, Superintendent of California State Parks Angeles District.
"No suspects were located. No narcotics were located. The boat was towed off the beach," Sap said.
