City Celebrates Plastic Bag Ban

The city and various sponsors will be celebrating Malibu's plastic bag ban today by giving out reusable tote bags on what is being called "A Day Without a Disposable Bag." Malibu in 2008 became one of the first California cities to ban so-called single-use plastic bags.

The reusable bag giveaway will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at , , and in the Cross Creek Road shopping malls. The Bag Monster will also appear at these locations.
