Book A Night At Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine
Matthew Lillard, who played Shaggy in "Scooby Doo," will allow three guests to stay in the Mystery Machine this summer.
MALIBU, CA — Your childhood dream could come true this summer with an overnight stay at the "Scooby Doo" Mystery Machine.
Matthew Lillard, who played Shaggy in the first live-action "Scooby Doo" film, will offer up the iconic van for three nights only. The blue and green van will sit near Sycamore Cove Beach in Malibu, high up in the mountains overlooking the ocean.
Three groups guests will be able to rent the famous Mystery Machine for one night each on June 24, 25 or 26. Only two guests will be allowed in each reservation. Readers can book the location starting Thursday at 10 a.m.

"Zoinks! It’s been 20 years since I played Shaggy (TM) in the first live-action 'Scooby-Doo' film by Warner Bros., but his spirit has been with me since. To celebrate, I’m throwing it back to 2002 with a totally groovy stay in the gang’s beloved Mystery Machine," Lillard wrote in the Airbnb description. "Monsters not included."
The Mystery Machine has never been available for overnight trips before.

Guests will be transported the moment they step into van. The Mystery Machine is decked out with memorabilia including a lava lamp, Shaggy's puka shell necklace and costumes. The stay comes with all-you-can-eat snacks, a complimentary Shaggy & Scooby-inspired dinner and mystery games.

The van will also have an outdoor setup "free from any monsters that might be lurking about," Lillard said.
Along with the reservation, Airbnb will make a donation to Five Acres, a Los Angeles-based organization that offers advocacy and services to children in foster care.
It's not the first time SoCal residents have had the opportunity to spend the night like some of their favorite cartoon characters. Last year, VRBO teamed up with Paramount+ to spend the night in "Sponge Bob's Pineapple Above The Sea" in Seal Beach.
