City of Malibu Unveils New Website
The city of Malibu's new website aims to make it easier for residents to find the information they need.

The city of Malibu has a new website that allows users to personalize what they want to know.
The site is powered by CivicPlus, which provides citizen-focused, interactive local government websites. The group worked on the redesign for six months.
According to a post on the city's website: "By clicking “Log In” on the MyDashboard bar at the top of the screen, users may create a login for the site or use their Facebook profile to access MyDashboard. Once logged in, visitors can choose the modules, features and keywords that they’d like to see most often, including calendars, news items and emergency alerts."
"I just think it is a 300 percent improvement," Malibu Councilwoman Laura Zahn Rosenthal said. "Obviously, our other city website was old. It was ready for a modernization and I love the colors on this and the graphics. Not just that, we'll be able to do so much more. That's what I'm really excited about."
Eventually, the website will be able to host surveys and the city will be able to post additional video.
"I'll be looking forward to feedback at how we can improve this as to what works and what doesn't," Rosenthal said.
