Dead Man In Malibu Identified
A 58-year-old security guard was found dead outside Trancas Canyon Nursery in Malibu.

MALIBU, CA — Authorities on Thursday identified the man who was found dead on Tuesday outside the Trancas Canyon Nursery in Malibu as Inge Baumbach, 58, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner.
Authorities have not determined his cause of death.
Baumbach worked as an overnight security guard for a nearby shopping center, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide investigators. The station said in a Tweet there was a "possible assault" overnight at the nursery. Baumbach was found with blunt force trauma to the upper torso, authorities said.

The Lost Hills Station considered the death to be potentially suspicious, authorities said on Tuesday. Whatever happened to the man was believed to be isolated, meaning there was no threat to Malibu, the station said in a Facebook post. Authorities did not specify how they determined that.
The Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau assumed control of the death investigation, according to a Facebook post from the Lost Hills Station.

Authorities received a call around 7 a.m. Tuesday about a man lying in a pool of blood near the 30700 block of Pacific Coast Highway, authorities said. The man was pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said.
