Potential candidates can pick up nomination papers from the  at  beginning today. Incumbents—John Sibert and Jefferson "Zuma Jay" Wagner—have until Jan. 13 to return the papers with at least 20 signatures of registered Malibu voters. Everybody else has a deadline of Jan. 18.
Election Day is April 10. The top three vote-getters earn seats on the council.
