Parks and Recreation Master Plan Workshops

The city's is embarking on a comprehensive update of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which was completed in 2000. The objective is to translate the community's values and vision into an action plan for parks, trails, recreation facilities and programs. The 2012 Master Plan will serve as the blueprint for the future goals of Malibu parks and recreation and will outline implementation strategies to achieve those goals.

Residents are invited to provide their input at one of two public workshops scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 15 and 16. Both meetings will be held in the Multipurpose Room at and will begin at 6 p.m.

PROS Consulting, a national consulting firm that has worked on similar projects for several California cities, has been retained by the city to assist with the Master Plan update and will lead the community workshops.
