The members of Malibu Woman’s Club invite the community to their upcoming fun-raiser featuring Malibu prodigy, 11-year-old Benjamin Krasner. A student at Webster Middle School, Benjamin plays a repertoire at the level of a Julliard graduate. He recently delighted members with selections by Beethoven and Bach at their monthly meeting. The event includes hors d’oeuvres, a buffet and desserts following the performance.
Malibu Woman's Club celebrates 50 years of nurturing Malibu's leaders of tomorrow. The service club awards prizes to fifth graders in Malibu schools who compete in an essay contest. Ten or more scholarships a year for academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service are awarded to outstanding high school seniors residing in Malibu.
“Because each member places a high value on learning, the Woman’s Club members are looking forward to raising money to benefit our educational scholarship fund,” said member/event hostess Charlotte Ward.
