Expensive Leather Jacket Nabbed From Malibu Boutique

A $1,200 leather jacket was taken from a Malibu boutique and gallery earlier this week.

The theft was reported on March 9 at Canvas at 23410 Civic Center Way in Malibu, according to the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.

The extra-large, black leather jacket was taken by a man who it on before asking for a pair of jeans. While the employee went to get the jeans, the man left the store without paying for the jacket.

The suspect was described as a light skinned, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with long sideburns, black hair, brown eyes and a Persian accent.

Surveillance video showed an image of the suspect, but the video was of poor quality.

The investigation is ongoing.
