2. As usual, the Malibu Lagoon restoration/destruction project is dominating the user comments sections on Malibu Patch. While I enjoy reader interaction, which is one of the main purposes of the Patch websites, let's remember to keep things civil. Also, be sure to share your views on other subjects. 3. In case you missed it, senior Alec Payne was named a Malibu Patch earlier this week. Alec has travelled to three countries on his own dime, and helps children in those places while sharing his love of percussion. 4. The Peter Quilter comedy “A Night at the Oscars” has its world premiere at 8 p.m. at As of last week, there were only 20 tickets remaining. So, it could be a sold-out show by this time. Fear not, there are plenty of other chances to see a performance. The show will continue through March 20 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m. There will be a 2 p.m. performance on Feb. 27. Go here for ticket information.
5. It is expected to be a sunny day with a high near 75, according to the National Weather Service. The north wind should be moving from 5 mph to 15 mph. At night, clear skies are expected with a low near 44. The east/northeast wind is expected to move at about 10 mph.
